Security Roles

To access the Data Tools add-on functionality, users with restricted system permissions must be assigned one of the following predefined resource roles:

  • Data Tools: full access: This system role grants complete access to all Data Tools features and functionalities. Users with this role can perform all operations within the Data Tools add-on.

  • Data Tools: minimal access: This system role provides read-only access to Data Tools features. Users with this role can view data and information within the Data Tools add-on but cannot modify or create data.

  • Data Tools: Entity Information view: This system role grants access to the specific InfoValue functionality within Data Tools, allowing users to view detailed information about entities.

The following specific policies are available for custom security configurations:

  • datatools.importExportEntity: Controls permissions for importing and exporting entities via Data Tools views.

  • datatools.showEntityInfo: Manages access to the InfoValue functionality. This policy ensures that users can only view detailed entity information if they have the required permissions.
